Lesson 01

Time frames

Start on a higher time frame (daily or 4-hour) to define direction and key levels, then drop to a lower time frame to plan entries. Conflicting time frames are a common source of poor trades.

Lesson 02

Chart patterns

Patterns such as double tops, head and shoulders, flags and triangles describe recurring shapes in price. They work best at meaningful levels and in the context of the wider trend.

Lesson 03

Moving averages

Moving averages smooth price to show trend direction. Many traders use a longer average as a trend filter and a shorter one for dynamic support or resistance.

Lesson 04

Oscillators

RSI and similar oscillators measure momentum. Divergence — price making a new high while momentum does not — can warn that a move is losing strength. Use them to confirm, not to decide alone.

Lesson 05

Fibonacci retracements

Fibonacci levels (38.2%, 50%, 61.8%) mark common pullback depths within a swing. They are most useful when they line up with structure or a key level.

Key takeaways

  • Higher time frame first, entries second.
  • Indicators confirm; price decides.
  • Confluence makes a level more meaningful.
